The Government has given special importance to the ICT sector for the creation of digital Bangladesh to implement the vision of the present Honorable Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh also known as vision-2021, to ensure technical assistance,Accessing the benefits of information and communication technology to the grassroots level, infrastructure security; Maintenance; Implementation in the comprehensive application and use of information and communication technology at district, upazila and union level. On 31 July 2013, the 'Directorate of Information and Communication Technology' was formed to ensure the delivery of e-services in remote areas of the country through the expansion of quality control and the efficiency of computer professionals.
